Surrounding Area
The villa is located off the street and has off the street parking. The Nadur village square is no more than five minutes drive away, here you can find a few bars and restaurants, grocery stores., banks, pharmacy and other amenities. Ramla, Gozo's main beach is also with five minutes drive. The rest of Gozo is never more than a 15 minute drive from the villa. Although Gozo is only nine by five miles a car is recommended as it is much easier to explore that way.

Dar ix-Xemx is a rustic villa enjoying a spacious pool area with plenty of space for sunbathing and al-fresco dining. It consists of five bedrooms, all nicely appointed, and four bathrooms including three en-suites. The farmhouse is located on the outskirts of the village of Qala but is still less than five minutes drive to the centre of the village. In fact it quite a pleasant walk to the square. Here you can find a few restaurants and bars, grocery stores and pharmacy. Mgarr Harbour is about five minutes while Victoria and the rest of Gozo are all within a 15 minute drive.

Access to this fully detached, 300 year old farmhouse is through a country lane leading to the remote controlled front gate which in turn opens into the large drive. Driving through the gate you will immediately notice the seclusion and privacy this property offers. Plenty of outside space is available and this consists of a 48 foot long pool with Jacuzzi (unheated) and surrounding deck, BBQ area, a shady courtyard with large table and chairs, perfect for al fresco dining and a lounge area complete with comfortable rattan sofas under the gazebo. The mature garden has a few olive and palm trees and some flower beds. A herbs and vegetable patch is available and depending on the season you will be free to choose from onions, broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, potatoes and carrots. Now that's what you call fresh, straight from the garden to your kitchen!
The ground floor of the farmhouse consists of a kitchen/breakfast area equipped with large fridge/freezer, five burner cooker, oven and microwave. Just off the kitchen you will find a formal dining room that overlooks the courtyard. The living room is adjacent to the pool deck and has cable TV, WiFi and DVD player. All five bedrooms are air-conditioned (pay-per-use), located on the first floor and consist of three double bedrooms and two twin.
